Seat Ten or More Comfortably at a 10' Conference Table

A 10' conference table seats ten people comfortably.  Four people can sit, with ample space, on each side of the table, and one person can sit comfortably at the end.  This, of course, is the case for a rectangular, racetrack, or boat shaped table.  If you use a square table that is ten feet per side, you will seat 12 to 16 people easily, depending on the location of the table legs.  Less people can sit at each side if the table legs are at the outer corners of the table because they will impeded leg room.

Another option is a round table, ten feet in diameter.  This kind of a 10'conference table, like the square table, is great if a number of people wish to meet to work together on a project.  They can all see one another, and view various pieces of material, such as a blue print or a building model, at the same time.  With a long table, meeting attendees would have to move items up and down the table in order for everyone to see them, and attendees would not be able to talk with one another easily.

Long conference tables are ideal, however, for trainings and presentations.  If there is a single speaker, all attendees can see the speaker and any visual aids he/she is using.  With a round or square table, someone would always have their back to the speaker, or have to turn their back on the table and any training materials they may be using.  A 10' conference table is a good length for a training or presentation because, provided it seats everyone who needs to attend, everyone can easily see and hear all of the pertinent information because no one is too far away from the speaker.

Before choosing and purchasing your conference table, be sure to consider the size and shape of your conference room.  There should be ample space on all sides for attendees to move around, even when there are people sitting at the table.  A 10' conference table is beneficial for this reason as well, since it does not require an extraordinarily large conference room.
