Your 48” Conference Table: A Representation of Your Business

Some offices, like single shingle realtors, insurance agents, or small car dealerships, will never need a large conference room, but a 48” conference table is just the thing for clients to sit down with their agent or dealer to go over and sign papers, and close a deal.  Generally, this size table will be square or round, just the right size for four chairs.  Again, this is the right answer for a dealer or an insurance agent who may need to sit down with a couple or parents and a child.  Everyone in the transaction is on equal footing.  You do not end up with two or three clients straining to work at one spot across the agent's desk.

Like any other conference table, a 48” conference table comes in a variety of materials, designs, and styles.  The choice is yours as to how you would like the table to look and what you want it to be made out of.  The general décor of the office and overall budget will both play a role in this decision.  You may choose an oak or mahogany office table with leather covered chairs; however, if you love the look, but cannot afford it, there are other options. You can achieve the same professional look with a veneer or a laminate.  The table may be made out of a less expensive wood, or even a composite or pressboard, then covered by veneer or wood-grain laminate.

Care and longevity of the table may also be a consideration.  Hardwoods are usually easy to care for, and generally last a long time.  Certain care instructions will contribute to this, such as using coasters under hot and cold drinks, and conditioning the wood as directed by the manufacturer.  These are not difficult to follow, and given that it is only a 48” conference table, conditioning it is not a big job.  Glass and laminate table tops wipe clean with a surface cleaner and a paper towel.

Choose the table that looks best in your office, and care for it as instructed.  Your 48” conference table will be a representative of your professionalism, because your clients will always utilize it in closing a deal.
